Disclaimer: I am very ignorant when it comes to business models in for-profit industries. With some of the most amazing games being released, I would have assumed business is booming. I think the biggest culprit (at least for games I've played) this year has certainly been Jedi: Survivor. Great game but holy shit it does not warrant 150 GB of space. At all. Considering that Fallen Order wasn't even 50 GB the fact that it's sequel had over 100 more is just insane to me. Like, how is that even possible?! Survivor is the best example I can think of but plenty of games are also just eating away at my storage. I only own a few PS5 games (I think about 5-6) and I literally only have 10 GB of free space. So next time a new game comes out, some of my collection will unfortunately have to go on the "shelf" so to speak. What's weird too is that the recent Guardians of the Galaxy game was only around 30 GB. Which proves that not all modern games need to eat so much space as they do. So yeah that's just my little rant about storage. It's kinda crazy to me that in what seems like the span of just a few years games being around 100 GB is just t...

Insomniac excels in the open world department, especially their last 3 marvel games. They aren’t Rockstar level detailed but they feel immersive and detailed especially Spider-Man 2. I assume they’ll probably follow suit with Wolverine if not maybe a semi-open world. I also heard it was M rated which I believe is gonna be the company’s first M rated game but correct me if I’m wrong. I’m fucking excited. A while back, my roommates claimed that one could accurately guess the personality and quality of an individual based on the game(s) they spend the most time playing. I have no idea if this is possible or remotely accurate. Since that discussion, I wanted to know more about this which brings me to making this post. What stereotypes have you heard? What are some lesser known claims? Is there actually any truth behind these? Do you believe these are true/false? Do you resonate with the things said about the people who play your favorite game? I had to do a brief presentation and edited together a video for it and saved it to my work laptop and phone. Come time for the presentation my laptop decided it's time to do a round of company security updates. No biggie like I said I have it saved on my phone to just mirror the screen to the TV and were mostly good to go. Hey! I’ve been gaming for the majority of my 28 years of life. I love a good challenge and being able to overcome it through the ”practice makes perfect” method, but the older I get, the more I want to enjoy a game for fun- not to challenge myself as a skilled player. In the past I’ve enjoyed playing and beating the Dark Souls Series, Hotline Miami, and other games of that nature. However, it’s feels like I’ve hung my coat up on such challenges for less stressed and more fun ones. Lately I’ve come across a sleu of games where I just don’t have the patience or to attempt to further attempt its story. Essentially my mindset is “you can beat the game by simply not playing it.” Sure that’s not logically true but for the peace of mind, it is. I know that there are others out there that share the similar experience. What game or games have had you quit to never return due to its difficulty or it’s overly confusing mechanics? I’ve been thinking about the price hike of new games for the past few days and for me personally the new $69.99 price tag most certainly makes me less likely to consider buying a game I’m not so sure of. It’s happened with several games that’s come out while the most recent being MW3. I haven’t played call of duty since black ops 2 in 2012 so I’m abit on the fence about jumping back in, but after seeing it has adopted the new standard price my willingness to give it a shot dropped to almost zero. Like do those people just not reread books or rewatch movies? I've met some people who wont replay their top favourite game because its story based and they already know what happens like. I personally have replayed ff7 countless times and never find it boring and always find new things about the story i didn't notice before. Got that ask because it happened to me TWICE yesterday. I was playing Forza Motorsport, firsts races and solo, and I was doing great. Slingshots, velocity control... And suddenly it took me off. "Connection lost" and back to the title screen. Again, playing solo. It pissed me off so much that was a immediately "Fuck off". And then Gotham Knights. I tried, like really hard, to get into the game, but the writing and characters were so bad written that I just couldn't go on. The point I couldn't take it any more was when they are reunited with Alfred at the watchtower. That dialogue killed me. As you can see it featured blood splatters, meaning that it turned little 6yo me into a vicious murderer that would then spend a life of misfit crushing my enemies with battering rams.
