Have you ever got part way into a game and then "noped out of it" from fear? #gaming

Two that I can immediately think of are Doom 3 and Alien Isolation.

I was coping OK with Alien Isolation until the first time a face-hugger leapt at me and wrapped itself around my head. I knew I was never going back to it after that.

It was similar with Doom 3. There was a room that I thought I'd cleared and (I think) I had to go and press a button on a console. The moment was scripted so that a spider-thing crawls up from behind the console and then jumps at you just as you hit the button, and it totally got me as an unexpected jump-scare. I nearly fell off my chair in panic. I'm pretty sure I just quit out and uninstalled the game at that point.

I think the connecting theme is spiders. I seem to remember a sequence in one of the Uncharteds where you're being chased by a swarm of spiders that totally freaked me out, too.

Has anything ever scared you into a quitting a game?
