I may be the only person to have ever killed every single MMO player on the planet... #gaming

Background: I ran the first (edit: 3D) MMORPG on the net for The 3DO Company- Meridian 59.

We did weekly backups and server maintenance. After saving the game state, as an experiment I once sent a 'send class user 0 kill' type command to each of the servers before shutting them down for maintenance. Every character that had ever existed in the game was summoned from the dead and slain on the spot they last stood.

Player corpses began piling up in every screen of the map- thousands of them- until the servers ground to a halt. I basically murdered every player that had ever logged into what was the only MMO on the planet at the time.

In other words, I killed every MMO player in the world simultaneously.

I'm the only one that's done it- and it can never be done again.
