What game tried to be deep and thought provoking but wound up just being pretentious? #gaming

Honestly, I myself can't think of one right now because the kind of games I usually play are more on the blockbuster side and those are mostly all about a straightforward narrative, action and stuff. But certainly there are some studious out there who tried to think outside the box and do something different with varying degrees of success by what I hear. One of such example I see people talking about is Hellblade curiously.
