PlayStation not offering Black Friday PS+ discount to existing subscribers, for first time ever (right after 33% price increase) #gaming

I've always renewed my PS+ every Black Friday for the past decade, as Sony always offers a good discount to new AND existing subscribers. Not this year.

Despite some misleading articles, the only way to get the discount as an existing subscriber is to upgrade your membership to a higher tier.

Very scummy of Sony to do this right after a massive price hike.
