"we made (one-way life decision) to develop this game, please try" ads about games is just bad ads #gaming

recently i have been seeing ads like, "we have:
- quit job
- quit school
- used all our funds
in order to create this game, please try it"
and tbh, this kind of ads made me not want to play that game anymore. if they made a normal trailer/ads i would have a different approach. what is your opinion?
